The FR Board is a high-performance fire and acoustic barrier used to seal large openings in fire-rated walls and floors. Designed for use around multiple building service penetrations, it helps prevent the spread of fire, smoke, and sound while maintaining structural flexibility. The board features a dense stone wool core coated with a fire-resistant barrier that limits heat transfer and hot gas movement. It is suitable for retrofits, new builds, and a wide range of constructions.

- Permanently flexible – accommodates movement during fire and minor building shifts
- Suitable for gypsum walls, including non-framed openings
- Can be patress fitted where required
- Smooth surface finish available for clean applications

- Resists UV, humidity, and frost once fully cured
- Halogen-free and includes added fungicides
- Must be used with compatible acrylic sealant around edges and service openings
- Supplied in one- or two-sided coated variants depending on fire resistance needed
- Caution: Do not step on blank horizontal penetrations – treat as non-load bearing

- Other sizes available upon request (e.g. 30mm thick, single-coated)
Installation & Maintenance:
- Use in conjunction with intumescent acrylic or mastic to seal edges and service gaps
- Seals should be inspected and maintained at least once every 12 months
- Ensure compatibility with wall/floor construction and service types
- Avoid applications involving movement joints or structural load-bearing
Competency & Compliance:
- Must be installed by trained, competent professionals
- Installers should comply with passive fire protection regulations and CDM guidance
- Always follow best practices for inspection and documentation of fire seals
