Astro Strip SB – Intumescent Seals (Fire & Smoke, Single Blade)
A compact, efficient fire and smoke seal featuring a slimline blade insert. Astro Strip SB offers certified fire resistance and cold smoke control, ideal for installations where a minimal seal profile is preferred.
Key Features:
- 30 or 60 minutes fire protection with integrated cold smoke blade
- Slim single-blade design for a clean aesthetic and smooth door operation
- Tested to BS 476 Part 22 and BS EN 1634-3
- Certifire approved for FD30 and FD60 timber doorsets
Construction:
- Thermoplastic intumescent core
- PVC sleeve with integrated single blade smoke seal
- Expands when exposed to heat, forming a fire and smoke barrier
Standard Sizes:
- 30-minute protection:
- 10mm x 4mm x 2100mm – Single Blade (AF1004 SB)
- 15mm x 4mm x 2100mm – Single Blade (AF1504 SB)
- 60-minute protection:
- 20mm x 4mm x 2100mm – Single Blade (AF2004 SB)
Installation:
- Self-adhesive backing for quick fitting
- Ideal for new installations or retrofit upgrades
- Slim profile fits rebates or surface mounts with minimal disruption
Applications:
- Suitable for fire-rated timber doors in apartments, corridors, commercial offices, and schools
- Especially useful in doors requiring minimal resistance during closing
